Web – Release Notes

7 October 2026

You can now organise a tour into Parties, Subgroups and Splits, share information with those teams, and decide which parts of the tour each person can manage. Give Audio the full soundcheck details, show the wider Crew just the timing, and let a support act's manager look after their own team. This release also brings web access to view-only members and makes guest-list management easier.

What's New

👥 Build Your Tour around the People Doing the Work

Tour Personnel connects the way you organise your team with the information they receive and the work they can manage.

  • Parties are the main teams on your tour, such as Artist Party, Band, Crew or a support act. Each person has one main Party, or can stay unassigned until you decide where they belong.
  • Subgroups are smaller teams inside a Party, such as Audio, Backline or Management. A person can join several Subgroups, including ones in another Party. A security team member can work with Crew without having to leave their own Party.
  • Splits bring together people from across the tour, such as Bus 1, Advance Team or an airport pickup group. Someone can belong to several Splits without changing their Party or Subgroups.

You can share an item with Audio or Bus 1 instead of picking every person one by one. Make a Subgroup open when its information should also be visible to its whole parent Party. This shares viewing access; it does not give the wider team editing rights.

🎯 Decide Who Gets the Full Story

Visibility now gives you three ways to share schedule items, stays, venues and pass types:

  • Public: everyone on the tour can see it.
  • Limited: choose Parties, Subgroups, Splits or individual people. People with See everything access can also view Limited items.
  • Sealed: name exactly who can see and work on that item. Being an administrator, or having See everything access, does not automatically give someone access to it.

For schedule items, you can share full details with one group and just the title and times with another. For example, Audio can see the full soundcheck instructions while the rest of Crew sees when it happens. Someone included through both groups keeps the fuller view.

When choosing a Limited audience for an existing item, preview who will see the full details, who will see times only and who will not see it. You can also give someone extra viewing access to a group without adding them to that group's team list.

🛠️ Give People Responsibility for Their Part of the Tour

Choose what each person can see separately from what they can edit. They can be view-only, edit within selected Parties, Subgroups or Splits, or edit the information they can see across the tour. A support act's tour manager can manage their own part of the tour without being given control over everyone else's work.

Choose the kinds of work they can manage too: schedule items, stays, venues, Public items, Bulletin and the guest list. Managing people and managing tour settings are separate choices. Times-only viewing does not allow editing. Sealed items have their own rule: the people named on one can view and edit that item, even if they are normally view-only elsewhere.

📋 Plan Roles before You Know Who Will Fill Them

Add someone already in your organisation or invite a new person by email, with their tour role and groups ready. You can set an invited person's access before they join.

Still looking for an audio engineer or driver? Create an open role and place it in the right Party, Subgroups and Splits. Fill it when the person is confirmed. If someone leaves, you can remove them while keeping the role open for their replacement. An open role holds the place in your team; the actual person's access is managed separately.

🔄 Change the Team without Losing Track of Its Information

Open a group to see its people and the information shared with it. When you delete a Party, Subgroup or Split, Daysync shows the affected people and items first. Deleting a Party lets you move its people to another Party or leave them unassigned while keeping them on the tour.

You can keep affected items shared with the people who could see them, or remove the deleted group's connection. If an item loses its last group through deletion, it is held for someone with the right access to choose a new audience; it does not silently become Public.

🗓️ A Schedule You Can Read from Your Own Point of View

Turn on Me mode to focus the schedule on items aimed at you through your teams, Splits or individual access. Turn on Show visibility to see who items are for as you browse; Daysync remembers that choice. The roster also lets you search your team, make changes to several people at once, and review a person's groups and access.

👀 Web Access for More of Your Team

Team members can now open the web app to read the tour information shared with them. They can check schedules, stays and venues without needing editing access. They can also submit and manage their own guest requests, even if they don't manage the whole guest list.

🎟️ Easier Guest List Management

Add or edit a guest request, change settings and adjust guest limits in a panel beside the list. Closing times use the venue's local time, and Daysync checks for unsaved changes before you switch panels.

Improvements

  • A clearer way to add people — Invite at the top of the app adds someone to your organisation. To add someone who already belongs to your organisation to a particular tour, open Tour Personnel → Add from organisation.
  • Your calendar shows your tours — When you connect your organisation to your calendar, it now includes only tours you have access to. Connect it again from Daysync to replace an older calendar subscription. If your calendar app doesn't open, you can copy the link instead.
  • Member seats after a tour is archived — If Daysync automatically archives someone's last active tour, their member seat can be deactivated at the next daily check, even if they used Daysync recently. If you archive that last tour yourself, they keep their active seat until they've been inactive for more than 14 days. The same 14-day rule applies to invited members who have never been added to a tour.

Bug Fixes

Desktop

  • Made the desktop app more reliable when opening previously synced tours without a connection, and fixed blank or unresponsive windows on weak connections.

Schedule

  • Fixed changes to tags, custom fields and travel breaks not appearing for other people on the tour through live updates.

Accounts

  • Fixed deactivated members being unable to switch organisations or read archived tours they still have access to. Archived information can be read without being changed.
